The city itself is an engine of the circulating mass of living - that is, a constantly evolving product of the current collection of active humans - but a constantly updating and immortal legacy of the deceased mortals that comprised it. As such, just as a snake sheds its skin, a city must shed the dead which no longer contribute to its continuance.

so i’m in hongkong and sam asked me to collabo on a gingerbread house for xmas, seeing as she is the patisserian (what?) and i’m the archi. of course, the concept turned out like this, and not like a gingerbread house. it’ll be less stark and more christmassy once the decorations are poured on it.

here’s the 3D model so we can get the panels for building…sam’s finishing up the dough, and i just got the pieces sorted out….

plan. cut. bake. assemble. decorate

spent five days working through an architecture workshop with AGENCY NYC, Roma Tre, and Temple…to create some…stuff…for a site chosen in rome adjacent to the Colosseum. in any case, i’ll up some work photos on commacomma later…
